Hailing from Energodar, Ukraine, Anna Shkudun's tennis journey began at a young age. Before making her mark in the United States, Anna enjoyed a successful professional career, boasting impressive ITF and WTA rankings between 2008 and 2015.
Anna's junior career was adorned with multiple Ukrainian championship titles across different age categories. She rose to prominence, securing the top spot in Ukraine under 12 and 14 years old. Anna also proudly represented her country at esteemed international events, including the European Team Championship and World Team Tennis Championship.
As a professional player, Anna's accolades included one singles title, five doubles titles, and appearances in the finals of several WTA tournaments. Her prowess on the court peaked with a WTA ranking of 318 in 2014.
Transitioning to collegiate tennis, Anna made a significant impact at Syracuse University from 2015 to 2018. Her achievements included winning the ACC singles championship, qualifying for the NCAA singles championship, and earning recognition as an ITA scholar-athlete. Leading her team as captain for three years, Anna played a pivotal role in securing the program's first-ever ITA Tennis Top 25 ranking.
Since 2018, Anna has dedicated herself to coaching, carrying forward her passion and experience to nurture the next generation of tennis players. Certified as a PTR 11-17-year-old tennis professional, Anna is deeply committed to her role as a coach. She believes in using tennis as a platform for not only honing athletic skills but also fostering personal growth and character development in her students.
